my philly (so far)
I’m a freshman this year, so this is my first year living in Philly (my hometown is in the suburbs of Bucks County). Because of this, I didn’t have much of a concept of Philly as of this time last year; I had only thought of Philadelphia as the closet large city to me, and one of the places I might end up for college.
I, along with the rest of the world, wasn’t expecting a global pandemic of this level to be something that happened in my lifetime, and yet it happened and is still happening. To be frank, I didn’t think I would end up at Temple, nor in Philly. But due to the circumstances of the world, Temple was my cheapest option for college and now I’m here (I really like it here now, but a year ago, I wouldn’t have thought I’d be living in Philly right now).
throwback song of the week
the map
Living in Philly has been a blast, but due to the pandemic, I feel like I haven’t gotten the full experience of living in the city of brotherly love just yet. Because of this, I drew a map of the Philly I know now, and left a lot of blank space on my map to be filled by memories that I have yet to make.
I hope that as this semester goes on, I’ll be able to fill in more of this map. That’s it for today, I hope you enjoyed my blog post!
