Lam de Wolf: Monumental and Close By Antwerp: Voetnoot
2010
Monumental and Close By is an extensive survey of Lam de Wolf, from her early flexible objects in 1979 until more recent works she completed in the Van Doesburg Residence in Meudon near Paris. The book includes a DVD covering fragments of her work from 1982 until 2009. It is the only book solely about this artist in the Temple University Libraries’ collection.
Louise Antonia Maria (Lam) de Wolf (1949 – ) is a Dutch artist who creates wearable objects as well as wall hangings and installations. De Wolf’s wearables are not conventional jewelry works but intended to be statements for “event dressing.” About her work, she has said “clothes should be subordinate to my art.”
