In June 2021, It was reported by Ricardo Feltrin (2021) of UOL that Globo Open TV underperformed in June severely. It has had its worst June in its entire history(Feltrin). Globo isn’t alone as it is reported to be a widespread trend in Open TV as a whole (Feltrin).
On a podcast called Explaining Brazil in 2022, The Brazilian Report celebrated 5 years of being founded (Marshall). Euan Marshall (2022, October 19) interviews the founders of The Brazilian Report and discusses its development over the years. The Brazilian Report is an independent news news site with a mission to “‘translate’ Brazil for foreign audiences – bringing a Brazilian perspective to conversations about the country” (2022, October 19).

In July last year, Sintonia Season 4 was released on Netflix. As of now, Netflix doesn’t seem to be offering an English dub of the show, and it hasn’t since Season 1. It is unclear whether Netflix has any intentions of changing that.
