So, here is a sample of media we think are worth checking out:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Prof Windhauser&#8217;s Recent Recommendations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Netflix&#8217;s <em><strong>Emilia Perez<\/strong><\/em>. The film has come under fire for some reasonable reasons, but the trans inclusive storyline (and featuring a trans actor) makes this interesting film a good watch.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>My Government Means to Kill Me: A Novel<\/em><\/strong>, by Rasheed Newson. Historical novel set during the AIDS crisis in NYC. Interesting look at this important moment in queer culture, especially through a queer person of color&#8217;s perspective.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Showtime&#8217;s <em><strong>Fellow Travellers<\/strong><\/em>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Starting in the McCarthy era of the 1950s, the series, which is based on the book of the same name, follows several queer people as they navigate their lives with varying degrees of success through several decades<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em><strong>Last Night at the Telegraph Club<\/strong><\/em> by Melinda Lo\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Wonderful YA novel set in the 1950s Chinatown in San Francisco<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>Non Binary: A Memoir<\/em> <\/strong>by Genesis P-Orridge\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Very interesting memoir about a person I&#8217;d never heard of before finding this book. They were big in the art scene in the UK and one of the originators of industrial music (among other things).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em><strong>All That&#8217;s Left in the World<\/strong><\/em> by Erik Brown\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Engaging YA dystopian novel<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>All of Us Strangers<\/em>, <\/strong>2023\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Excellent film currently in theaters focusing on gay men.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em><strong>Mutt<\/strong><\/em>, 2023\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Excellent film exploring a trans masc protagonist<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em><strong>Monica<\/strong><\/em>, 2023\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Excellent film exploring a trans femme protagonist forced to return home.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em><strong>Tell the Wolves I&#8217;m Home<\/strong><\/em> by Carol Rifka Brunt\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Wonderful coming age story of a young girl trying to understand her uncle, who recently passed due to AIDS.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>GSWS Student recommendations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The Monster Under the Bed<\/em>&nbsp;by JoEllen Notte<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Tipping the Velvet<\/em>&nbsp;by Sarah Waters (fiction)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Pure<\/em>&nbsp;by Linda Kay Kleine<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Nina Here Nor There<\/em>&nbsp;by Nick Krieger<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Vibrator Nation<\/em>&nbsp;by Lynn Comella<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Bang!<\/em>&nbsp;by Vic Liu<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Ace<\/em>&nbsp;by Angela Chen<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Getting It<\/em>&nbsp;by Allison Moon<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Polysecure<\/em>&nbsp;by Jessica Fern<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Beyond Shame<\/em>&nbsp;by Matthias Roberts<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>New Handbook for a Post-Roe America<\/em>&nbsp;by Robin Marty<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>You Know, Sex<\/em>&nbsp;by Cory Silverberg<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Between Certain Death and a Possible Future <\/em>(anthology)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>What Fresh Hell is this? <\/em>by Heather Corinna<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Queer Conception<\/em>&nbsp;by Kristin L.
