Goffman\u2019s 1963 book <em>Stigma: On the Management of Spoiled Identity<\/em> is both loved and hated by disability scholars. Dr. Love will consider the benefits and drawbacks of Goffman\u2019s approach to stigma.\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-644\" alt=\"Heather Love\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.temple.edu\/gradenglish\/files\/2013\/10\/Heather-Love.jpg\" width=\"200\" height=\"183\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Dr. Love authored <em>Feeling Backward: Loss and the Politics of Queer History<\/em> (Harvard, 2007), edited a special issue of <em>GLQ,<\/em> and co-edited a special issue of <em>New Literary History<\/em>.
