is threefold:&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Community-Building:&nbsp;<\/strong>Fostering inter- and intra-departmental community by hosting and promoting social events<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Professionalization:&nbsp;<\/strong>Developing resources and workshops relevant to graduate students&#8217; professional interests<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Advocacy:&nbsp;<\/strong> Providing forum to represent graduate student concerns and liaising with faculty through representation on the Graduate Executive Committee<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">The GEA serves all<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"> graduate students in the English department, regardless of program (Literature, Rhetoric\/Composition, or Creative Writing) or funding status (TA, GA, fellowship, or otherwise).&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Through this website, the GEA aims to provide an up-to-date resource base for the information and events that are important to Temple graduate English students, faculty, and the greater Temple and Philadelphia
