This Wednesday – First Works-In-Progress session of the Fall semester

The GEA would like to invite you to join us for our first Works in Progress event of the 2014-2015 academic year! We will attempt to hold a several works-in-progress (WIP) sessions throughout the year, where students can discuss their own work with peers and faculty in an informal setting. We hope these events will help us learn more about each other’s work and encourage each other through collaborative inquiry.

On Wednesday, October 15, we will meet in the CHAT lounge (Gladfelter Hall, 10th floor) at 12:00pm to discuss Rita Mookerjee’s “The Demonized Other: Analyzing the Supernatural in Season of Migration to the North,” which she will be presenting at the upcoming MAPACA conference in November. The meeting will begin at noon and will probably last for an hour to 90 minutes. Please spread the word so that we can support and engage the work of our colleague!

If you are planning to attend, please send an email to Charlie Manis ( for a copy of Rita’s essay.

Hope to see you there!
