I helped organize a symposium in honor of Gene Likens winning the 2019 Franklin Medal in Earth and Environmental Science.\u00a0 The theme of the symposium was Science Communication and we had a lively panel discussion about how to do high quality science while still advocating for an change in policy or behavior.\u00a0\u00a0 It was great to meet Dr Likens and hear about how he has dealt with science policy over the years.<\/p>\n
