{"id":226,"date":"2023-03-28T13:59:46","date_gmt":"2023-03-28T17:59:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.temple.edu\/foxcollegecouncil\/?page_id=226"},"modified":"2025-08-22T13:35:26","modified_gmt":"2025-08-22T17:35:26","slug":"suitable","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sites.temple.edu\/foxcollegecouncil\/suitable\/","title":{"rendered":"Suitable Activity Requests"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Update for fall 2025: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox.temple.edu\/academics\/undergraduate-programs\/fox-forward\">FLDP IS NOW FOX FORWARD<\/a>!<\/strong> You&#8217;ll still find the networking events, professional development workshops, and community engagement opportunities you&#8217;ve come to expect, but all under a new name and with competencies that are now directly aligned with the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.naceweb.org\/career-readiness\/competencies\/career-readiness-defined#competencies\">National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) Career Readiness Competencies<\/a>. Fox Forward now focuses on five key areas designed to set you apart in the job market:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Career &amp; Self-Development<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Communication &amp; Teamwork<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Equity &amp; Inclusion<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Civic Engagement &amp; Leadership<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Critical Thinking for Business<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Please make sure your SPO is submitting all meetings and events to Suitable! We use Suitable to determine appropriate meeting room sizes AND when granting allocations.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Log into Suitable on your laptop or desktop &#8211; at this time, you can only submit activity requests from a computer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on \u201cActivities\u201d on the black bar to the left of the screen, then click the \u201cRequest New Activity\u201d button in the top right corner.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select \u201cEvent\u201d to create an activity with a QR code that your members can scan for Fox Forward points.&nbsp;&nbsp;\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you\u2019d like to submit a \u201cTask\u201d activity, please email <a href=\"mailto:sarah@temple.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">sarah@temple.edu<\/mark><\/a> with details.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fill out the Title of your event (include your SPO\u2019s acronym), Description, then select the relevant Activity Type (in person, virtual, or hybrid), and Student Professional Organization tags.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the level and competencies that are appropriate for your event.&nbsp;\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The more participation and effort the event requires, the higher the level&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Most SPO general body\/guest speaker meetings are Level 1 in the Career &amp; Self Development competency. If your event or guest speaker will cover one or more of the other competencies, please mention it in the description!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select a start and end date and start and end time for your event and enter the event\u2019s location.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preview and submit for administrator approval! Please submit events at least 2 business days in advance. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once approved, the student who submitted the request will receive an email from Suitable containing the QR code for the event.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Email <a href=\"mailto:sarah@temple.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">sarah@temple.edu<\/mark><\/a> with any questions or concerns &#8211; please include the title of your Suitable event.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Update for fall 2025: FLDP IS NOW FOX FORWARD!
