The Philadelphia Foundation is a non-profit organization that distributes scholarships to local high school and college students who face financial barriers in their journey to college. This is a great starting point for students looking to apply for scholarships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>These local scholarships are less competitive because fewer people apply for them, which works to your advantage!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are a few scholarships from the Philadelphia Foundation that many Temple students can apply to: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>The Bond Club of Philadelphia Howard A. Trauger Scholarship Fund<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Major: Any<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open to: Sophomore or junior college students\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Requirements:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Must be a resident of the Greater Philadelphia Region (This area includes, Bucks, Chester Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia Counties in Pennsylvania as well as Burlington, and Camden in New Jersey<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must be in sophomore or junior year at the time of application<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must demonstrate financial need<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must demonstrate activity outside of education (can be extracurricular, work or volunteer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>David Concannon Boston College Memorial Scholarship<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Requirements:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Must demonstrate financial need (as determined by financial aid award letter)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must submit a personal statement<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Essay, resume, recommendation letter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Robert C.
