Paris Blogger Intro

Hi!

My name is Paris Watnoski-Pinter, and I can’t wait for our trip to Dublin! Traveling to Ireland has been on my bucket list for a while now, and I can’t wait to finally check it off.

Back home in Maryland, I work at an Irish sports pub, so I am very curious to see the similarties and differences between the enviroment, food and drinks in Ireland and what my work has tried to replicate!

I have been out of the country before. Summer of 2019, I went on trip with a local private school to China! It was such an amazing experience, and I love seeing and experiencing different cultures.

I am a senior going into my last semester at Temple University. I am majoring in Public Relations with double minors in Content Creation and Event & Entertainment Managment. I currently work for Celsius as a Campus Ambassador (so if you ever need a boost of energy, I got you!) and I just started a new role as the Marketing and Social Media Intern at TUDev for the fall semester.

In my free time, I love thrifting and hunting for cool new finds. I am also an avid reader, so if you have any book recommendations, please let me know!

While in Dublin my main goal is to do the Howth Cliff Walk. I also want to go to Trinity College, not only because I am a big Normal People fan, but also because I want to see The Book of Kells. Overall, I am open to anything! I love history and just want to learn as much as I can.

Thanks for reading! I look forward to sharing more and seeing what everyone else is getting up to!

Gabriela Blogger Intro

Dia Duit! Im Gabriela Barrett and I am so looking forward to our trip to Ireland and getting to know everyone throughout our travels. This will be more first time in Europe, first time outside of the US, (aside from Caribbean cruises which don’t count in my mind ) and therefore, my first time in Europe.

I am a rising junior however, as I am a transfer and have only completed one year at Temple, I am still getting to know the university and the people, making this program even richer of an experience for me.

I have always been driven towards the environmental side of CSR and care greatly about protecting and preserving the only planet we’ve been granted responsibility for, taking care of it just as it takes care of us. I have taken two classes on sustainability and environmental science during my time in college, and they have only strengthened my care for and awareness of the human-environmental impact. I look forward to seeing how we dive into this specific CSR facet

Advertising and account management are passions of mine that double as my major here at Klein. I am currently the secretary of the Temple Ad Club and look froward to digging more into that role in the Fall. In addition to all things advertising, I am big on adventure and exploration. Whether it be through food, nature, wild life, or thrilling activities, I am a sponge who loves to try new things, travel, and gaining cultural experience.

As a creative individual, I have a number of hobbies and skills that allow me to express myself from baking and cooking to fashion, art , or interior design. There are no limits really. On the opposite side of the coin, I am also a health and gym freak who prioritizes physical fitness and a balanced diet like her life depends on it, (and in a way, it does!) so if pre-breakfast jogs interest anyone during our time away, lets be run buddies!

I am most excited to try new foods, explore any natural sites we can, visit the Airfield Estate, and be immersed in the Irish culture overall. I look forward to seeing you all very soon.

Slán for now!

Colt Blog Intro

My name is Colt Gunn and I am a rising Junior and Communication Studies Major. This is my second time with Klein Go (First was the Puerto Rico visual storytelling class with Allie) and my first time visiting Europe; I am extremely excited!! I have a lot of roots in Ireland and Scotland with my family’s lineage so this was always a location that I had planned to visit at one point.

A little bit more in depth about my self. I have a passion for video and photography so you will be seeing me lug a camera around for most of our travels. I am hoping to incorporate some visual media in my projects during the course if possible. Some recent work I am currently doing is a documentary called “Survivors Ink” which is a continuation of a photography project titled “Survivors Ink” which aims to tell the story behind an individuals tattoo and the story behind the individuals themself. My crew and I are hoping to publish the documentary sometime in the Fall semester.

I am currently a Peer Mentor at Klein and recently got appointed the Multi-Media Director of WHIP Radio for this upcoming year, so very excited for that !

Another quick note is that I have been reading extensively up on Irish History and reading Irish Publications like RTE.

Grateful for the opportunity to be apart of this class and this experience.

Best,

Colt

Fáilte! – Graeme’s Blogger Intro

Hi Everyone!

My name is Graeme Duffey, and I cannot wait to embark on our journey to Dublin, Ireland! I am a rising senior at Temple University, studying public relations. Having never traveled outside of North America, I am so excited for what is to come.

After declaring my major late later than most, I had little expectation of getting a full study abroad experience. However, Klein GO’s latest early start program, Fair Play: Corporate Social Responsibility + Sustainability in Dublin, reopened that door. I’ve always dreamed of visiting Ireland, and this opportunity allows me to explore how sustainability is approached overseas. As someone passionate about building a career in sustainable business practices, this trip aligns closely with both my academic and personal goals.

In my free time, I try to attend as many concerts as possible and spend quality time with my friends and family. These things have a tendency to overlap. Some of my favorite artists I’ve had the pleasure of seeing live include MJ Lenderman, Alex G, Wilco, and Dublin’s very own Fontaines D.C.! I hope to see some live music on our trip!

Outside of music, I have a passion for vintage clothing, specifically denim and workwear from the ’60s and earlier. Last semester, I started an Internship with Depop, a UK-based company focused on promoting sustainable second-hand fashion. This semester, you can catch me all around Temple’s campus again promoting Depop through sponsored flea markets and other creative events!

I’m also involved in two student organizations at Temple. I serve as the Assistant Conference Coordinator for Temple’s PRSSA chapter and as the Director of Editorial for the Fashion & Business Club.

Some of my plans in Dublin include visiting Howth, getting a fresh tattoo, and enjoying many pints of Guinness! Other than that, my plans are fairly loose. I look forward to updating you all along the way and seeing what everyone else has planned!

Sláinte!

Sylvie Blogger Intro

Hi everyone!

I’m Sylvie Colón, and I cannot wait to travel to Dublin with everyone! This is my second time abroad and my second program with Klein GO (and even my second GO program with Professor Ryan and Allie!). I am one of the Multimedia Scholars for this trip, so I will be capturing excessive amounts of content and posting on the Klein GO blog (check out my first blog post here) and Instagram account. I will be taking over the Klein GO Instagram on August 11th and 13th. I am no stranger to shoving my camera in people’s faces, so if you do not want to be featured in my story takeover…definitely avoid me on those dates.

A little bit about me! I’m a senior public relations student with a minor in criminal justice. I am Chapter President of Temple PRSSA and an Account Associate for PRowl Public Relations, so I am all over the Department of Advertising and Public Relations. I’m a Klein Peer Mentor and a tour guide for the university, meaning I have no trouble talking to anyone or in front of any amount of people.

I haven’t done a ton of research on what I want to see in Ireland, but as a massive Normal People fan, I will find myself at Trinity College at some point. I’m down for anything, though! I’m excited to explore a new place with some familiar faces and some new faces as well.

That’s all from me! I look forward to sharing my content and reading through everyone else’s!
