Ahorrar significa guardar algo para usar después. Por ejemplo, yo puedo ahorrar gotas de la lluvia en una cubeta en mi patio. Cuando la cubeta esta llena, riego mis plantas con esa agua.
To save something means to keep it for use later. For example, I can save raindrops in a bucket in my yard. When the bucket is full, I pour the water on my plants.

A faucet is an object used to turn water on and off. I turn the faucet on when I wash my hands.
