After receiving a PhD in Human Development and Social Policy from Northwestern University, I spent several years doing policy evaluation at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mdrc.org\/issue\/families-children\">MDRC<\/a>, focusing on early childhood education and home visiting.<\/p>\n<p>At Temple, I work with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/education.temple.edu\/about\/faculty-staff\/barbara-a-wasik-bwasik\">Barbara Wasik<\/a> in the College of Education. My current research focuses on professional development for child care educators and text- and video-based tools supporting family-school engagement in children\u2019s language and literacy.
