\"Snell\"I am a researcher interested in school and family factors that support children’s language and literacy development. After receiving a PhD in Human Development and Social Policy from Northwestern University, I spent several years doing policy evaluation at MDRC<\/a>, focusing on early childhood education and home visiting.<\/p>\n

At Temple, I work with\u00a0Barbara Wasik<\/a> in the College of Education. My current research focuses on professional development for child care educators and text- and video-based tools supporting family-school engagement in children\u2019s language and literacy. I am also interested in the effects of child and family processes and routines (including sleep behaviors) on child development and well-being.<\/p>\n
