zeeshan.huque@temple.edu

Zeeshan is a third-year graduate student in the Clinical Psychology program, working with Dr. Lauren Ellman. She received a B.A. with distinction in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania in 2018. After graduating, she worked as a clinical research coordinator at the Psychosis Evaluation and Recovery Center (PERC) and the Lifespan Brain Institute (LiBI) in the Perelman School of Medicine’s Neurodevelopment and Psychosis Section. Her research and clinical mentors included Drs. Monica Calkins, Daniel Wolf, and Raquel Gur. She is interested in combining behavioral and neuroimaging techniques to study the effect of social stressors, including psychosocial and discrimination-based trauma, on social-emotional cognition and risk for psychosis in adolescence. She aims for her research program to contribute to the development of enhanced identification and intervention strategies for youth in her local Philadelphia community. She is supported by a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program (NSF GRFP) award.
