Volunteer in the Lab
The Ellman Lab accepts applications from Temple undergraduates to work in the lab on a volunteer basis (some applicants may be eligible to receive course credit through the Department of Psychology’s Collaborative Research program). Please see the following eligibility criteria and information on how to apply.
Eligibility
Prospective volunteers must:
- Commit to volunteer for a full academic year
- Be available to work 10 lab hours per week
- Have earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5
- Be a Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior
To qualify for course credit in our lab you must:
- Work in our lab for at least 1 semester prior
- Be available to work 10 lab hours per week
- Have earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5
- Additionally, to demonstrate learning, it is a requirement that any student who receives course credit for work in the Ellman Lab must complete a research review paper on a lab related topic by the end of the semester which they are earning the course credit for.
It is Ellman Lab policy that in order to work on an honors thesis with our lab, you must have been working in our lab for 1 year prior to qualify.
