Alexis Cruz, B.A.

Alexis graduated from Macalester College in May of 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in neuroscience studies and a minor in chemistry. Since graduation, she has conducted research on the biological mechanisms of itch at the National Institutes of Health and studied event related potentials as biomarkers of anxiety at San Diego State University. She is interested in using biomarkers to understand the etiology of mental disorders such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, and anxiety. She hopes to obtain a Ph.D. in clinical psychology.
