Jackie Wurman

Jackie graduated from Saint Joseph’s University in May of 2024 with a Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience and minors in Psychology and Data Science. During her time at Saint Joe’s, she was involved in several research projects spanning multiple areas from the neurobiological and behavioral impacts of stress in mice to the social interactions between adults with disabilities and robots. Additionally, she completed an internship at the Center for Neuromodulation in Depression and Stress in the Psychiatry Department at University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine where she was exposed to clinical research procedures and cutting-edge treatments for mood disorders including Vagus Nerve Stimulation and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation. Her research interests include the development of depression in adolescence as well as self-injury and suicidality in the context of depression.
