Practicum Resources

Temple University’s Practicum courses provide students with an opportunity to practice the craft of teaching.  During the practicum, each student will serve as a teaching assistant and as a teacher-in-training.  Students are responsible for assisting the mentor teacher, observing and reflecting on the practice of the mentor teacher and peers, completing several specific instructional assignments in one-on-one, small-group, and whole-group settings, and planning and delivering at least two formal lessons which will be observed and assessed by the Temple University supervisor.
