She  graduated from Temple University in 2025 with a doctorate degree in psychology with a quantitative methods concentration. She graduated from the University of Idaho in 2019 with a B.S. in psychology &amp; a pre-health studies minor. Her interests include multisensory integration and the intersection of executive functioning development, attention, and social interaction utilizing EEG methodology. Her <a href=\"http:\/\/libproxy.temple.edu\/login?url=https:\/\/www.proquest.com\/dissertations-theses\/path-pincer-mapping-development-infant-goal\/docview\/3213636853\/se-2?accountid=14270\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">dissertation<\/a> focused on exploring at-home longitudinal fine motor development in infancy using kinematic analysis in relation to a neural measure of how the fingers are represented in the brain. She is interested in the link between motor development and social development, particularly in individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders. She was a Research Assistant Professor at Temple University, however, she recently started working at the Monell Center for the Chemical Senses in Philadelphia. She received her Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology in 2012 from the University of Padova, Italy. He is an assistant professor at the University of Texas at Austin in the Computer Science department. They focus on research and development in digital systems, transparent technologies, localization devices, self-tracking systems, and simulation and modelization techniques. They collaborate with us on our current study on how infants learn to reach and grasp objects. They developed the TrHandy phone application we implement in that study, among other behind-the-scenes programs. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-large-font-size\"><strong>Graduate Student Alumni<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Brydie Boyle<\/strong> graduated in 2021 from the 4+1 B.A.\/M.S. program. She is currently in the Educational Psychology PhD program at Rutgers University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Nathan Smyk<\/strong>&nbsp;was a Ph.D. student in the Cognition &amp; Neuroscience Program. His research interests include the development of body schema and human-machine interaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Staci Weiss<\/strong>&nbsp;graduated in 2020 with a PhD in Psychology and a focus on Developmental Psychology. Her research interests span the intersection of sensorimotor and cognitive development, with a mind to implications for underserved populations. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Cambridge in 2024 and is now a Professor at the University of Roehampton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong style=\"font-size: 1rem\">Ashely Drew<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">graduated in 2017 with a PhD in Psychology and a focus on Brain Cognitive Sciences. She is interested in the integration of visuo-tactile processing and the development of body representations. She is now a research scientist at the University of Washington&#8217;s I-Labs.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong style=\"font-size: 1rem\">Joni Saby&nbsp;<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">graduated in 2014 with a PhD in Psychology and a focus in Brain Cognitive Sciences. She is interested in infant imitation and the development of social interaction.<\/span> She currently works at the Children&#8217;s Hospital of Philadelphia as a research scientist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lorna Quandt<\/strong> graduated in 2013 with a PhD in Psychology and a focus in Brain Cognitive Sciences. She is currently an Associate Professor at Gallaudet University.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-large-font-size\"><strong>Postdoctoral Alumni<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Melissa Horger<\/b>&nbsp;received her Ph.D. from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York in Developmental Psychology in 2021. Her dissertation research focused on motor development&nbsp;and sleep in infancy. After working as a postdoctoral scholar in the Developmental Science Lab, she moved on to work at the University of Massachusetts Amherst as a postdoctoral scholar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong style=\"font-size: 1rem\">Guannan Shen<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">&nbsp;received her Ph.D. degree in 2015 from Columbia University. Her research interests include multisensory perception and bilingualism.
