This conference will explore emerging issues in substance abuse and problem gambling prevention, treatment and recovery. The conference will feature:

  • Engaging Keynote Speakers
  • Panel discussions
  • Enlightening workshops on a variety of topics, including opioid abuse, addiction prevention, co-occurring disorders, the recovery process and alternative therapies
  • Daily breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack break
  • Opportunities to share with and learn from fellow practitioners
  • A showing of the documentary “Resilience: The Biology of Stress & The Science of Hope,” followed by a panel discussion

This conference is a presentation of the

Dauphin County Department of Drug and Alcohol Services

with assistance from

Temple University Harrisburg NEST.

*The conference organizers will pursue continuing education approval for keynote addresses, panel discussions, workshop and other conference content. The conference agenda will indicate which presentations and workshops are approved for continuing education credit through the Pennsylvania Certification Board (PCB) and/or the State Board of Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists and Professional Counselors. The agenda will be updated as additional approvals are received. Conference attendees interested in social work continuing education credits will be asked to pay a $20 processing fee; there is no processing fee for PCB credits.
