Williams, Jr, in Philadelphia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong><a style=\"color: #2a8e43\" href=\"https:\/\/sites.temple.edu\/csarts\/videoconf\/\">[ VideoConf ]<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><u>The Program<\/u><br \/>\nIntroduction by Peter d\u2019Agostino, Visiting Artist, Temple Rome; Director, CSArts;<br \/>\nProfessor of Film &amp; Media Arts, Center for the Performing and Cinematic Arts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><b>Meri\u00e1n Soto,<\/b>\u00a0 Professor of Dance, Boyer College of Music &amp; Dance, and <b>Fletcher Chmara-Huff <\/b>Assistant Professor of Geography and Urban Studies reviewed their collaborative projects, and presented their proposal for World Water Week events in 2020. Co-sponsored by Boyer College and Temple\u2019s Center for Sustainable Communities, the events will range from traditional, in the disciplinary sense, to trans-disciplinary performances and presentations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><b>Joseph M. Williams, Jr,<\/b> Manager of Systems and Operations, Temple TECH Center, explores African American experience through digital forms of music and storytelling.\u00a0 He focused on a new sound score being produced in collaboration with d\u2019Agostino\u2019s recent World-Wide-Walks project performed in South Africa.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><b>Caterina Borelli, <\/b>an independent filmmaker working at the intersection of architecture and anthropology, screened excerpts from \u201cThe Architecture of Mud\u201d (1999). Filmed in Yemen, this work foregrounds issues of sustainability by contrasting traditional building techniques and the challenges brought by the introduction of new technologies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><b>Peter d\u2019Agostino<\/b> presented scenes from his video installation, \u201cWorld-Wide-Walks \/ between earth &amp; water \/ ICE\u201d (2012) documentation-performances of walks along the edge of glaciers in Iceland, Argentina and Alaska to witness signs of global warming.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CSArts video symposium live from Rome 6:00pm\u00a0 \/ Noon Philadelphia, Oct 9, 2019 Peter d\u2019Agostino and Caterina Borelli in Rome; Merian Soto, Fletcher Chmara-Huff, and Joseph M.
