Stephanie Simone, M.A.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Stephanie is a sixth-year doctoral student in the clinical psychology program. She is currently completing her internship at Charleston Consortium Internship Program. Her research interests include investigating modifiable risk factors and ways to promote engagement in dementia risk-reducing behaviors in midlife. She is also interested in early identification of cognitive impairment, as well as exploring interventions to improve quality of life and cognitive functioning in healthy aging and dementia. In her spare time, she enjoys discovering new restaurants or recipes, taking walks along the river, reading, and spending time with her dogs, Tucker and TJ.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n

Molly Tassoni, M.A.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Molly is a seventh-year doctoral student in the clinical psychology program. Her research interests include learning about factors that predict outcome on behavioral or other interventions. Specifically, she is interested in learning how motivation can influence cognition in people with MCI and dementia. She enjoys running, the beach, exploring new parts of Philadelphia and the world, and spending quality time with friends and family, including her husband (Ron), daughter (Callan), cat (Luna), and dog (Huey)! She is currently completing her doctoral internship year at Emory School of Medicine.<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n

Sophia is fifth-year doctoral student in the clinical psychology program. Her research interests include examining relations among neuroimaging\/biomarkers, more culturally sensitive measures of cognition and function, and data derived from novel technologies (i.e., wearables) to inform cognitive decline risk and detection in older adults. In her free time, Sophia loves hiking, anything involving the outdoors, painting, and exploring the great food in Philly!<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n

Kimberly is a third-year doctoral student in the clinical psychology program. Her research interests include investigating the roles of cognitive functioning and psychological well-being in everyday task performance and quality of life. Specifically, she is interested in how this information can be used to improve methods for early detection and intervention for people at risk for dementia, using novel technologies for such efforts. In her free time, Kimberly loves to cook and explore Philly\u2019s robust food scene, read, and spend time with her Maine Coon Luna!\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n

Moira Mckniff<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Moira is a third-year doctoral student in the clinical psychology program. She went to Temple University for undergraduate (Class of 2020) with a degree in Psychology and minor in Cognitive Neuroscience. Her research interests include testing novel technology to assess and detect subtle difficulties in functional and cognitive impairment, and understanding how immigration, acculturation, and learning a second language affects memory, cognition, and neuropsychological test performance. In her spare time Moira enjoys traveling to new places, running, reading, painting, and cooking.<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n

Marina is the Cognitive Neuropsychology Lab\u2019s research coordinator! She graduated from Temple in 2023 with a major of Psychology and a minor in Cognitive Neuroscience and has been with the Cog Neuro Lab since 2020. Her research interests include developing technology mechanisms for dementia intervention as well as motivation and dementia-risk reducing behaviors.\u00a0Outside of academia, Marina enjoys traveling, reading, spending time with her friends and family, and considers herself quite the foodie!<\/p>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n

Riya\u00a0is a senior double major in Neuroscience and Psychology. Her current research interests include understanding how brain health is impacted by brain injuries and neurodegenerative diseases as well as exploring the relationship between cognition and everyday functioning. In her free time, she enjoys dancing and playing games with her friends and family.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n

Shrey is a Freshman in Neuroscience on the pre-med track and wants to become a neurosurgeon. His research interests include the effect of memory on neurodegenerative diseases in the geriatric population. He is set to do NIH research in Gerontology with a joint program at Washington State University. In his free time, Shrey likes to do martial arts and spend time with his family.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
