Abeer Labadi
As a 25 year, old Marketing and finance professional I was called to return to school and further pursue my collegiate studies in teaching. I'm currently a Temple university student working on my master's degree in education concentrated in teaching English to speakers of other languages. In life, I have had the opportunity to learn and grow through the diversity of both American and Middle Eastern Cultures.

Although I am of Middle Eastern decent, I was born here in America. During my teenage years, my family moved back to the Middle East and I began a very interesting cultural transition in life. Adjusting to my native culture presented its challenges, but after elevens years I was one with my family origins. Just as I was fully connected in my Middle Eastern Culture, my family and I relocated back to the United States. As a result of living between two countries I have developed a vast understanding and cultural competency.
Introduction
This has made me very compassionate in working with individuals that are new to the United States and helping them to comprehend the concepts of English as a second language.
I consider myself an over comer, in the past I have been challenged with the fear of sales and actually teaching an audience of students. I am proud to say that allowing myself to rely one core values principles of love, compassion, creativity has propelled me into success despite these challenges. I surpassed my fear and doubts by achieving tops sales within an organization which
- I worked for two years and comfortably teaching in front of groups of students. As I set my sites on the future, I work towards mitigating self-doubt and continuing my personal growth and development via confidence love and acceptance. In the spring of 2019 as prepare to embark upon graduation, I look forward to teaching others English as their second language and leaving them with the lasting impression of how to tap into their creativity while gaining the confidence to communicate within a new language.
