Climate Justice Field School

The Department of Geography, Environment and Urban Studies is thrilled to announce a new community engagement opportunity for Temple students!

The Climate Justice Field School (CJFS) is a community-engaged program centered around a 10-week-long paid summer internship. It provides Temple undergraduates the opportunity to work with Philadelphia-area organizations on projects that address unequal vulnerability to climate change impacts and related environmental injustices.

We take a holistic approach to student development and aim to build a community of thinkers and doers who are committed to civic participation. Therefore, in addition to their internship placements, the program requires that students participate in a full-day orientation, bi-weekly professional development sessions, and a Community Showcase event. CJFS interns work 20 hours per week and receive a $3000 stipend. If this speaks to you, then keep reading for information about how to apply!
