RESEARCH

Current Project:

Currently, I am conducting a master’s thesis on bird diversity across the Greater Philadelphia region during migration season.

  • I will be bringing a PUC acoustic logger with me to multiple point counts (human and AI verification of species)
  • I will then be comparing landscape features across sites to see how they may impact the diversity of species found there

Past Projects:

Cornell University and Franklin & Marshall College: Tree Swallow Research Field Technician with Professor Maren Vitousek and Professor Daniel Ardia

  • Nest checks, hatch checks, fledge checks (land and water)
  • Contributed to data collection on the effects of stress levels on tree swallows

Franklin & Marshall College Independent Research Study: Bird Biodiversity and Land use

  • Verified acoustic recordings of species from multiple sites
  • Analyzed agricultural and urban proximity to correlate with bird species richness

“Flirries” Field Technician with the Chesapeake Watershed Initiative and Franklin & Marshall College

  • Sampled water temperatures at restored and unrestored wetland sites to compare progress
  • Received Commercial UAG Drone Pilot License
