Temple Chemistry Demonstrated

Email: DemoGuy@temple.edu

Schuyler Patton is very excited to SHOW chemistry as the STEM Lecture Demonstrator of Temple University’s Chemistry Department. These live demonstrations can be easily scheduled for professors to incorporate into their upcoming lectures. Sometimes, a curious chemistry question is best answered by actual live chemistry in front of them or perhaps better explained with 3D models and/or supplementary real-world analogies. Schuyler (pronounced like Skyler) Patton will gladly provide whatever can be legally and safely demonstrated to enhance the chemistry experience at Temple.

For scheduling, Calendly (synchs with Outlook Calendars), or email: demoguy@temple.edu

Office Hours are generally M-F 1:00-3:00pm but will have exceptions with live demos so please check Calendly to confirm timing. Or just stop by anytime the doors are open to see what’s going on in what Schuyler likes to call the “Curiosity Shoppe” in Beury Hall 161B. This location is in the basement on the lecture hall side and identifies as a Judgement-Free Learning Zone. This demo-prep room now has its own video recording studio, so we can easily share these demonstrations for students, professors and all those who are curious.

Temple Chemistry Demonstrated is here to show you that the world around us is full of chemistry you can understand.

Science isn’t a subject, it’s a lifestyle. Stay curious and follow the evidence!
