The Cancer Health Equity, Education and Research (CHEER) Lab at Temple University works to reduce cancer disparities and improve care for underserved populations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In plain language, we want everyone to have a fair opportunity to prevent cancer and live well during and after treatment. We study how people\u2019s experiences, relationships, and healthcare settings affect those opportunities\u2014and how prevention and cancer care can better meet their needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our research spans tobacco use, HPV vaccination, cancer screening, and survivorship. Across these topics, we ask: Whose needs are being overlooked? What barriers stand in the way? And what can we do to address them?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
