About Grant Writing and Strategic Initiatives<\/h2>

The Grant Writing and Strategic Initiatives Team is responsible for fostering sustainability, innovation, and growth within CEPD. This administrative team is committed to identifying funding opportunities, exploring untapped revenue streams, crafting compelling proposals, cultivating partnerships, and supporting strategic projects to develop, enhance, and expand CEPD programs. The team works closely with CEPD leadership, CEPD staff, and key stakeholders to drive initiatives and collaborations that support Temple\u2019s institutional goals, CEPD priorities, and community impact.<\/p>

Grant Writing and Strategic Initiatives Impact in FY2025<\/h2>

During the transition to CEPD, this team played a key role in shaping the unit\u2019s identity and laying the foundation for cross-team collaboration and effective development strategies. By working closely with CEPD leadership, the team helped to define the vision of the new unit and aligned its strategy for sponsored projects to reflect CEPD\u2019s expanded scope and strategic priorities.<\/p>

One of this year’s key achievements was securing a statewide contract with the State of Delaware to serve as a preferred provider of Professional Training Services. This agreement allows every state agency in Delaware to contract with CEPD for training, curriculum development, certification, and research and evaluation services. This marks a significant milestone in CEPD\u2019s history, not only as the first award granted to the new unit but also as a major step toward expanding the unit\u2019s geographic reach and long-term sustainability.<\/p>

The team also secured a three-year contract with the Pennsylvania Department of Health to implement the Healthy Teen Relationships program, an education initiative aimed at reducing teen dating violence and promoting healthy relationships and community health equity. Serving middle school-aged teens in Harrisburg and Dauphin County, this program addresses long-standing disparities in youth health and access to resources.
