Talks are presented multiple times, providing participants the opportunity to hear multiple presentations.<\/p><p><span style=\"background-color: var(--nv-site-bg);font-size: 1em\">Topics for this year&#8217;s lightning talks include:<\/span><\/p><h3>Table 1: <i>Imposter Syndrome No More: strategies for student success<\/i><\/h3><p><strong>Andrew Merz, Klein College, Temple University<\/strong><\/p><p>Many students come into a class with feelings of inadequacy. Nurturing their creativity with hands-on assignments can have a transformational effect on their self confidence.<\/p><h3>Table 2: <i>Beyond Poetry: Using the Haiku Form to Synthesize, Summarize<\/i><\/h3><p><strong>Steve Ryan, Advertising and Public Relations, Temple University<\/strong><\/p><p>Learn how I use haiku in class to assess students\u2019 understanding and explore how this fun practice might work in yours.<\/p><h3>Table 3: <i>3D Printing Orthotics &amp; Prosthetics: Results from a Makerspace Grant<\/i><\/h3><p><strong>Jasmine Edwards, Public Health, Temple University<\/strong><\/p><p>Use of Makerspace Studio technology assists in creating an experiential learning experience for Physical Therapy students.<\/p><h3>Table 4: <i>Incorporating Metacognition into the Curriculum<\/i><\/h3><p><strong>Joann Marie Kirchner, Music, Temple University<\/strong><\/p><p>Metacognition involves reflecting on an individual\u2019s progress, or lack of progress,\u00a0towards a stated goal.
