Protest Art on Border Walls Around the World

In an age where the repercussions of environmental destruction are being discussed in policymaking more so than ever before, identifying the causes of climate change and its proprietors has become an important launching point of effective policy. While much of this identification has been focused on the consumer’s contributions to climate change, we believe that it may prove more productive to focus on other institutions’ involvement in the process: the U.S. military-industrial complex and the U.S. immigration system.

With this research project, we hope to unveil the horrors of these systems from an environmentalist and abolitionist lens (perspectives that are very seldom used in reference to these institutions). This research is important, as it could help provide educational resources that can be used to advocate against these systems and for the collective liberation of racial groups affected by colonialism, imperialism, and abuse at the hands of immigration and military officials.
