Dr. Brian & Susan Butz Endowed Scholarship Application – 2026

Dr. Brian Butz was a highly respected and deeply valued member of our department for many years before his retirement in 2012. Demonstrating their continued commitment to supporting ECE students, Dr. Butz and his wife have recently established a new scholarship within the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.

This scholarship is open to currently enrolled Temple University ECE sophomores and juniors who demonstrate financial need and a strong interest in software development, artificial intelligence systems, health education software, or closely related areas. The scholarship provides a $10,000 award to support students who plan to concentrate their electrical engineering studies on software development and AI research, with priority given to those working within an ECE faculty research laboratory.

Eligible students are encouraged to apply by completing the form below by April 15, 2026.
