Dr. Brian & Susan Butz Endowed Scholarship Application – 2026

Dr. Brian Butz was a highly respected and beloved professor in our department for many years until his retirement in 2012. In a generous act of continued support for our ECE students, Dr. Butz and his wife have recently established a scholarship within the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.

This scholarship is open to currently enrolled Temple University ECE sophomores and juniors who demonstrate financial need and have a strong interest in areas such as software development, artificial intelligence systems, health education software, or related fields. The scholarship provides a $10,000 award to support students who intend to focus their electrical engineering studies on software development and AI research.
