Kamran Shirdel, a pioneering Iranian documentary filmmaker known for delving into societal contradictions and addressing the struggles of marginalized women, has been absent from filmmaking for over four decades. Two young Iranian directors decide to make a documentary about Shirdel and explore the tumultuous recent history of their country through the lens of his works.
