My research thesis was devoted to an investigation of polymer-membrane systems for CO<sub>2<\/sub><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"> sequestration from gaseous mixtures.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">In 1997, I was accepted to the University of Pittsburgh as a graduate student. Under the guidance of Dr. Eric Bourget , I performed my PhD studies, investigating carrier dynamics and surface reconstruction phenomena at semiconductor interfaces using second harmonic generation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Since my graduation from the University of Pittsburgh in 2003, I had two post-doctoral appointments. One was at the Joint Institute for Laboratory Astrophysics (JILA) in Boulder, Colorado, where I performed research in the area of confocal microscopy of quantum dots. The second post-doctoral appointment was at the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Colorado at Boulder with studies of single-molecule RNA folding dynamics using Fluorescent Resonance Energy Transfer (FRET).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">In 2007, I accepted a position as Senior Scientist at&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.landauerinc.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/www.landauerinc.com\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1584756296320000&amp;usg=AFQjCNEek1XIhv9j8vk1Q4wmThL-Nso1tw\">Landauer<\/a><span style=\"color: #000000\">, a leader in radiation monitoring.
