It was a cold spring morning. The mother nature let up her scathing grip and the frosty dawn was tenderer but still awakening. The sky was crystal blue and the trees where budding. A group of sleepy but excited undergraduates met up at 6 AM to head out on a ride to Collegeville, Pennsylvania. Charged with courage and an espresso shot at a Wawa on their way to excellence, they were attending an intercollegiate hosted by Ursinus College.
For some, it was the first time presenting their research, for others a familiar endeavor they began to perceive as routine. But this was no ordinary event. So many promising, beautiful young minds at one place can spur all kinds of inertia in the scientific circles. Many great thoughts were told, many ideas shared, many voices heard. Our group stuck together the whole time, cheer each other on. At the end they came out feeling stronger and more confident in their research as never before. A few were even properly recognized by the jury invited from different schools.
However appealing an award may seem, even with no Amazon gift card won every member of our small but united team brought something far more important with themself. A memory. A recollection of all the mistakes and hardships they overcame to be there and all the cheer and laughter they shared with each other that help them grow and excel. May be another memory in the numerous memorabilia here at Borguet group.
Yours truly,
