Erik&#8217;s research group used the manned submersible Alvin to investigate effects of ocean acidification and oil on cold-water (and typically deep-sea) corals. The team also includes Rob Kulathinal, co-PI on the grant funding the research, several Temple graduate students, and collaborators from Penn State and Haverford College.
