Manuscripts are\u00a0 submitted directly to the Managing Editor.\u00a0 Click on this <a href=\"http:\/\/www.int-res.com\/journals\/ame\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">LINK<\/a> and select Guidelines for Authors for more details.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Journal of Eukaryotic Microbiology<\/strong><\/em> &#8211; After previously serving on the Board of Reviewers, I was an Assistant Editor from 2009 through 2014.\u00a0 Submissions to J Euk Microbiol can be made to the editor via this <a href=\"https:\/\/onlinelibrary.wiley.com\/journal\/15507408\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">LINK<\/a>. The journal, linked to the International Society of Protistologists, publishes original research on protists &#8211; including &#8220;protozoa,&#8221; lower algae and fungi. Articles are published covering behavior, biochemistry, cell biology, chemotherapy, development, ecology, evolution, genetics, molecular biology, morphogenetics, parasitology, systematics, and ultrastructure.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Journal of Plankton Research<\/em><\/strong> &#8211; I joined the Editorial Board of JPR in 2007 and decided to resign in December 2011.\u00a0 All kinds of marine, brackish and freshwater plankton are considered: viruses, bacteria, fungi, phytoplankton, and zooplankton, including meroplankton and ichthyoplankton. Use this <a href=\"http:\/\/plankt.oxfordjournals.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">LINK<\/a> to find information for submitting a manuscript to JPR.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><strong>SCIENTIFIC SOCIETIES<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333\"><em><strong><span style=\"color: #333333\">International Society of Protistologists <\/span><span style=\"color: #333333\">(ISOP)<\/span><\/strong><\/em> (<a href=\"http:\/\/protozoa.uga.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">link<\/a>) &#8211; The Society is an association of scientists from all over the world who are devoted to research on single-celled eukaryotes, or protists. ISOP publishes The Journal of Eukaryotic Microbiology (see above). I have been a member since 1984, and served The Society on the Editorial Board, the Program Committee, the Executive Committee and as President (2009 &#8211; 2010).<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333\"><em><strong>Association for the Sciences of Limnology &amp; Oceanography (ASLO)<\/strong><\/em> (<a href=\"http:\/\/aslo.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">link<\/a>) &#8211; ASLO has long been a leading professional organization for researchers and educators in the field of aquatic science. Probably best known for its highly rated research journals, interdisciplinary meetings and special symposia. The society increasingly supports programs in public education, outreach and public policy, and strongly encourages student participation. I have been a member since 1982.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><strong><em><strong>Phycological Society of America (PSA)<\/strong><\/em> (<\/strong><\/em><a title=\"PSA\" href=\"https:\/\/www.psaalgae.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">link<\/a><em><strong>) &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>The Phycological Society of America was founded in 1946 to promote research and teaching in all fields of Phycology. The society publishes the <i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.psaalgae.org\/journal-of-phycology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Journal of Phycology<\/a><\/i> and the <i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.psaalgae.org\/psa-newsletter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Phycological Newsletter<\/a><\/i>..<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Society<\/strong><\/em> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sigmaxi.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">link<\/a>) The international honor society of science and engineering founded in 1886, Sigma Xi has nearly 60,000 members who were elected to membership based on their research potential or achievements.
