Head inside and up to the fourth floor, where Barnes Club students will greet you and sign you in.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>How can I get to TUCC using public transportation?<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>TUCC is very accessible via SEPTA. The building is conveniently located right across from City Hall, where both the Broad Street Line and the Market Frankford Line stop. If you are taking Regional Rail, the closest train station is Suburban Station.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Where can I park close to TUCC?<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>TUCC does not have available parking. We recommend the Love Park Parking Garage, located just a few blocks from TUCC.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>How can I pay for the Barnes Conference registration?<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Registration is $50 for presenters and $25 for attendees. Registration is free for all Barnes Club members. We accept payment through our PayPal, @BarnesTemple, as well as cash and check. Your registration fee includes dinner on Friday evening, as well as breakfast, lunch, and coffee on Saturday.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>I\u2019m coming to Philadelphia from out of town. Where can I stay? What<br>things can I do for fun in Philadelphia while I\u2019m here?<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>While the Barnes Club cannot facilitate hotel stays, Center City is one of Philadelphia\u2019s busiest neighborhoods, and there are plenty of hotels near to TUCC. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitphilly.com\/features\/visit-philly-overnight-hotel-package\/?gclsrc=aw.ds&amp;gad_source=1&amp;gad_campaignid=22870494127&amp;gbraid=0AAAAABcq0dkiRID9uPygchTCfJiK0Unlv&amp;gclid=CjwKCAjwu9fHBhAWEiwAzGRC_3tU7EZ_wvyVRrjZbG2NnEKubNIp5YIVynNC6WNGY2wwWIE099wkMBoC23YQAvD_BwE\">VisitPhilly<\/a>, Philadelphia\u2019s tourist board, has resources available to help visitors decide where to stay and has suggestions for fun activities to do.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Where\u2019s the best cheesesteak in Philadelphia?<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>This year\u2019s Barnes Conference Chair, Clare McCabe, swears by Dalessandro\u2019s in Roxborough. But closer by, she would also recommend Jim\u2019s or Ishkabibble\u2019s, both on South Street.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>What sorts of papers does the Barnes Conference accept?<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Proposals from graduate students for individual papers or panels are welcome on any topic, time period, or approach to history. We welcome proposals that foreground public history and digital humanities, and are eager to work with applicants in these fields to facilitate their participation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>I\u2019m presenting at the Barnes Conference. What will that entail?<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Panels will include three or four paper presentations, running between fifteen and twenty minutes each, with comments and questions to follow. You are welcome to present slides or other visual media.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>When is my full paper due? What are the page requirements\/citation<br>requirements?<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Full papers will be due February 13, 2026.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Papers must be no longer than 15 double spaced pages, excluding endnotes. Endnotes should be in Chicago formatting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>How should I bring my paper\/presentation?<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you receive an invitation to present at the Barnes Conference, you will be invited to submit your full paper and presentation via an online submission.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Can I print my paper at TUCC?<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>There are not printing services available at TUCC.
