A historian of the military\, gender\, war\, policy\, and society\, Dr. Worsencroft graduated from Temple where he defended his dissertation titled “A Family Affair: Military Service in the Postwar Era” in 2017. He is now an Assistant Professor of History at Louisiana Tech University and a research fellow with the Waggonner Center for Civic Engagement and Public Policy and the Louisiana Tech Research Institute. He is also a trained public historian. He served as the assistant director at the American West Center\, and he also worked at the Philadelphia History Museum as a Temple Allan F. DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, September 15th we will be meeting at the same bat station at the same bat time as usual… Lemon Hill #8 in the lovely Fairmount Park from 12:00 to 4:00 pm. Students\, faculty\, staff\, friends\, and family are encouraged to stop by the park for a repast off the grill and cold drinks in the hopefully hot sun. The James A. Barnes Club encourages everyone to bring a dessert or a little something as a dish to pass. We will be providing hot dogs\, hamburgers\, veggie burgers\, and beer. For those of you driving\, we will be right off of Sedgley Drive\, public transport will be the 15 trolley on Girard Avenue\, and rideshares will probably use the corner of Poplar Street and Poplar Drive. In any event\, look for the baseball diamond and the picnic tables are right there! Mark your calendars\, it will be fun!… plus free food!
