The performance of these members sets them apart from their peers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Dr. Zhang has received recognition for distinguished achievements in\u00a0signal processing for radar systems and wireless communications. He has been actively involved in SPIE as an author, session chair and\u00a0committee member for the Society\u2019s Wireless Sensing, Localization and Processing conference. Dr. Zhang was recently awarded $1.2 million in research grants from the Department of Defense for their work in radar signal processing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Founded in 1955 to advance light-based technologies, SPIE serves more than 235,000 constituents from approximately 155 countries.
