Dr. Yimin Zhang, Research Professor and Director of the Wireless Communications and Positioning Laboratory, Center for Advanced Communications (CAC), Villanova University, has been elected to the grade of Senior Member of the International Society of Optics and Photonics (SPIE). SPIE Senior Members are members of distinction, recognized for their professional experience, active involvement with the optics community and contributions to the Society. The performance of these members sets them apart from their peers.
Dr. Zhang has received recognition for distinguished achievements in signal processing for radar systems and wireless communications. He has been actively involved in SPIE as an author, session chair and committee member for the Society’s Wireless Sensing, Localization and Processing conference. Dr. Zhang was recently awarded $1.2 million in research grants from the Department of Defense for their work in radar signal processing.
