We are always trying to create as many networking opportunities as possible for our members. We strive to do this through:
- Weekly Friday meetings with firms and speakers
- Off-campus Social Events
- Annual Kickball & Dodgeball tournament with professionals
- Ascend National Convention
- Fundraisers
- Volunteer/Community Service Opportunities
Ascend Membership Point System
At Ascend, we have a point system to incentivize and reward active members. The member with the highest number of points at the end of each semester will be awarded “The Most Active Ascend Member” award. The winner will gain chapter-wide recognition and will be listed on our website.
Members will receive a raffle ticket for each meeting they attend. At the end of the semester, we will collect those tickets and reward the winners. Rewards include Ascend merchandise and gift cards.
- Meeting: 10 points per session
- Community Service: 15 points per session
- Networking Event: 15 points per session
- Professional Development Workshop: 10 points per session
- Signature Event: 20 Points per session
- Office Tour: 15 points per tour
- Bake Sales:
- 5 points per volunteer hour (max.10 points)
- VITA: 15 points (need to show certification in order to receive points!)
