Welcome to my professional web site.

I am an Assistant Professor of Science Education in the College of Education at Temple University. I earned my Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, in 2012.

My research is on the role of plausibility judgments in conceptual change and science learning, and has been published in Educational PsychologistLearning and Instruction, International Journal of Science Education, Discourse ProcessesResearch in Science Teaching, and Instructional Science.

I am also a licensed physical science and mathematics teacher, with a variety of classroom, professional development, and education and public outreach experience.
